I’ve been involved with an initiative over the past several months that involves multiple communities identifying ways they can improve access to integrated mental health and substance use care for children and youth in our Province. One of the benefits of being involved is the connections I have been able to make.
Two of those connections have been Dr. Jennifer Mervyn and Diane Goossens. They have written a paper called “A Family Guide to Understanding Child and Youth Psychiatric Care in BC”. The entire paper will be available soon on the Collaborative Toolbox, a website that has been created to highlight the work that has been happening across our Province.
I was honoured to collaborate with Jennifer, Diane and Lisa Despins from Shared Care to create a two pager info sheet to highlight some key information from the paper, and I am even more thrilled to be able to now share it here with all of you!
